Kia Ora. Welcome to the Opotiki District, heartland of the Eastern Bay of Plenty, in New Zealand's central North Island.

It’s also home to some of New Zealand’s most thrilling and entertaining events, such as the 172-kilometre Bay Trust Motu Challenge multi-sport race, the Delamere Kapa Haka festival, the Fibre and Fleece Creative Fashion Show, the Big Three Hunting Tournament and the Opotiki Rodeo.

You can experience world-class fishing, diving, hiking and a wealth of other activities. The pretty Waioeka and Otara rivers pass right through town, and are frequently paddled by kayakers.
